The Invader Queen is the leader of the Invaders and the true final boss of Metal Slug 6. She is also the main antagonist of the game as well.
Story Behind the Invaders
When the second boss in Metal Slug 6 is defeated, Morden and the Mars People can be seen hiding so they can attack the players' characters. Right after they trap them, the flying Invaders come in and feast on the Mars People, and one attacks Morden. Then, Morden tells the players about trying to retrieve Rootmars at their base; Rootmars levels down and the Invaders attack the base, demolishing it. After this, Morden just fades out.
Later on, in the game's final mission, the Rebel Infantry will help the players get to the place where the Invader Queen is being held. In the first part of this boss fight, the Rebels come to help again. When the first part is destroyed, the platform where the battle is taking place snaps, and all the Rebels that were there at the time (shielded Rebels) are killed, leaving the players' characters in a one-on-one battle with the Queen.
Invader Queen's Fortress
While the players go down using a Slug Digger in the final mission of Metal Slug 6, either a S.P.A.R.R.O.W.S member or one of the Peregrine Falcons (the latter when the first player controls a S.P.A.R.R.O.W.S member) falls down into the base. The Invader Queen's fortress is her security and players have to face many Invaders here. Later on, before the final boss, a green Flying Parasite is controlling the S.P.A.R.R.O.W.S. or Peregrine Falcons member that was seen falling down at the start of the level and the players have to destroy that Venusian in order to save him/her. Upon rescue, the member will drop a SV-001 Type R which can be used in the final fight against the Invader Queen.
The Invader Queen can breathe out an energy blast. She can also shoot an eye-beam that slowly follows the player on every difficulty level but 8. On level 8, the beam is shot in quick bursts that follow and kill the players. The players fall down a level when she breathes out a wave that snaps out the squishy platform beneath them. Sometimes her body will light up and she produces energy waves similar to the Zantetsu Sword. When the players are falling down, the Invader Queen lights up her body to use the waves again. These waves must be shot at in order to avoid getting hit by them.
The War is Over
The Invader Queen falls and implodes, making a colossal fireball. It blinds the players' characters, making them fall to their doom, only to be miraculously saved by either Morden or Rootmars. Then, the mission is all over. Together with the Rebel Infantry, they have defeated the Invaders and their queen. This also leaves the Mars people free from certain extinction.
- The Invader Queen bears a strong resemblance to Emperor Demon Gyaba, an enemy appearing in most games of Konami's Contra series, regularly as a final boss.
- The Invader Queen can be compared to Rootmars, due to both them being the leader of an alien race and having two boss fights before getting killed (or in Rootmars case, seriously injured).
- She is often referred to by players as the Venusian Queen.
