Ronbertburg City is a location in Metal Slug: Super Vehicle-001, where the second mission A Wish For a Morning Glow takes place. A large city founded by the rebel army fifty years prior to the First Modern War, it is one of the principal rebel bastions and strategic points in Europe and, as its name implies, is located within Germany.
Information[]
A classical Holland-based city (despite its name), Ronbertburg is full of economic activity. Casinos, restaurants, a mine and a lot of other points of commerce are scattered throughout the city, serving a vital role in its economy.
Ronbertburg is famed for its "building-bridges" - bridges that contain buildings beneath them and can be adequately habitable for residence. As part of their efforts in fighting the Regular Army, the rebels had these bridges destroyed during the Modern Wars.
Trivia[]
- Its name and some features seem to be modeled after the real-life German city of Rothenburg ob der Tauer. While the train station and channel system, are modeled after Waterloo Station and Westminster Bridge in London. However, a number of things seem to be inspired by Amsterdam, namely the bridge area which resembles the view over Amstel.
- While traversing the building-bridges, the clocktower in the background appears to be modeled after the Big Ben at the Houses of Parliament in London.
