The Mars Mecha, also known as the Mars Walker, is a large walking quadropod used by the Mars People in Metal Slug 3.

Information

These giant contraptions are defense drones used inside the Rugname. They attack by dropping bouncing bubbles from their bellies similar to an oversized Drop Shot. When defeated, the body disconnects from the legs and crashes onto the ground crushing anyone underneath it.

Variants

	Mars Mecha: The original giant Martian walker mech.
	Mars Professor: The Professor's personal Mars Mecha customized to shoot out plasma bolts from its antennae. Appears in Metal Slug Attack.
	Cocoon Betty: A blue Mars Mecha piloted by Clone Betty. The bouncing bubbles generates solid blocks of ice to stop oncoming enemies. Appears in Metal Slug Attack.
	Golden Mars Mecha: A golden Mars Mecha piloted by a Martian. It can also generate bubbles which spawn young Hopper Mechas, who are just as volatile as their golden counterparts. Appears in Metal Slug Attack.
	Mars Mecha Elite: A white Mars Mecha piloted by a Mars People Elite. The unit is customized with a cannon that shoots energy blasts and energy balls.

Trivia

• The Mars Walker is based on the H.G. Wells War of the Worlds Tripod, and sports the iconic Heat Ray emitter from the 1953 film.
