Conceptual art of Flying Shelt.
The Flying Shelts are large, flying brain-like machines that only appear in the flying section of Mission 4 of Metal Slug 6. They are massive objects floating in the air, and launch small meteors from the hatches on them. These hatches can be destroyed, although the Flying Shelt itself cannot.
While in the Slug Flyer don't get close to them because if you do, your Slug Flyer might get damaged.

| Flying Shelt Type-B: A deep-purple variant of the original. It sacrifices defensive capabilities for offensive ones, with the meteors it launches shattering into smaller ones for additional damage. Appears in Metal Slug Attack. | |
| Golden Flying Shelt: A golden variant of the original. It comes autohealing, shoots golden meteors and unleashes four red tentacles similar to the flurry of whips of the Quadro Jumper. Appears in Metal Slug Attack. |
