|"Female Morden officer whose ultimate expression of love ended up being her turning against a loved one. Trevor is the one she loved. She specializes in long-range assaults with laser weaponry."|
Abigail is a unit original to Metal Slug Attack, first appearing in the Extra Ops titled Sand Locker (as a pre-acquisition unit, obtained by purchasing 10,000 medals). As that event has finished and she is no longer a part of the Medal/VIP Crank, parts can only be obtained through the Extra/Rare Shops and the occasional Event Crank.
In battle, she's accompanied by four flying drones equipped with long-ranged, piercing lasers. Her hefty damage output compensates for her high AP cost and low health pool. Abigail is similar to her sister Beatriz in terms of combat, albeit in a slightly inverted way.
Abigail's close range attack does unusually high damage (and can remove enemy projectiles), whereas her long range attack, while still very powerful compared to that of most other units, does considerably less.
One of the more interesting properties of her long range attack is that it does not lower resistance, preventing the enemy from taking advantage of "mercy invincibility" or counterattacks should the unit(s) in question have such capabilities when their resistance is emptied.
Abigail's special has piercing traits and can hit every enemy it reaches. While it is capable of damaging the enemy base and ending any potential stalemates, it is usually to help apply her damage reducing debuff (infer below). The Iron Cab and Spacey Nokana are much better alternatives if attempting to destroy the enemy's base due to a stalemate. It's damage is considerably low compared to her other attacks and also decreases as more enemies are hit by it. With 4, she'll always inflict a damage reducing debuff that lasts for two seconds, decreasing the damage output of enemy units. Giving her the Two Machine Guns item will double her own long range damage output.
The Patrol Robot can be considered a cheaper version of Abigail, as it shares the same effects as her, but lacks the piercing property of her special attack and is weaker in terms of strength and health.
Abigail does not have any anti-air capabilities, and her low health makes her susceptible to suicide/special attacks. It's generally recommended to keep her well shielded with other units, except within guild raids: allowing the enemy (if it relies solely on melee attacks) near the enemy base and locking them in place with units like the Professor will result in clearing the stage very quickly.
Shield (Spread) Her lasers form a deflection shield that pulses outwards. Hits about 3-5 times per attack.
Autonomous Laser (Spread) A long-range blast fires from each drone.
Piercing Laser (Spread) Abigail orders the drones to unite for a more powerful beam, while laughing at the enemy. Has piercing capabilities, but only hits once.
